Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Midelt – Merzouga Desert

Our journey begins early in the morning from Marrakech at 8:00 AM, departing to start this unforgettable adventure through the Middle Atlas mountains, Berber villages, and exceptional natural views. We’ll cross the stunning High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, enjoying breathtaking mountain scenery along the way.

The lunch break will be in Midelt city, also known as the “Apple City,” where you’ll have time to relax and enjoy local cuisine. Afterwards, the drive will proceed from Midelt towards the south with several stops along the way to admire the changing landscapes and visit traditional Berber villages.

Upon our arrival in Merzouga, you will be welcomed by our team with warm cups of mint tea and time to freshen up while getting ready for the camel ride through the dunes. The camel trekking will be around 1 hour so you can enjoy the spectacular sunset over the golden dunes. Then proceed to the desert camp where you’ll enjoy the best traditional Berber dinner. After dinner, you’ll have time to spend the best evening with Saharian music under the starry night. Overnight in private desert tents.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

In the morning, you can get up early to take a walk on the sand dunes and watch the sunrise just behind the Algerian border, about 50 km from Merzouga. This is truly a magical moment that will stay with you forever. We’ll transport you back to the hotel on camelback, where you can enjoy breakfast, shower, and rest.

After breakfast and some time to relax, we head towards Marrakech, traveling through the beautiful Ziz Valley with its thousands of palm trees, passing through traditional Berber villages and the Middle Atlas mountains. We’ll make several stops along the way for photos and to stretch your legs.

Arriving in Marrakech in the evening around 7:00 PM, where your memorable desert excursion ends at your hotel or riad, leaving you with unforgettable memories of the Sahara Desert experience.
